It is located in the heart of Point Lonsdale village, close to shops and cafes. The beach features soft sand, clear and clean water, and is generally calm, making it ideal for snorkeling and exploring marine life. There are nearby playgrounds and facilities such as toilets, showers, and a gym. The beach also has large tables, benches, and BBQ facilities, perfect for gatherings and picnics. Although the beach can be windy, it is a great spot for a relaxing day out with family and friends. It is especially spectacular during king tides, which occur only a few times a year.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
